Tarry Night

This is a look that I would love to do for a show or a hardcore night out, but I had to adapt it a little, as I was going to be wearing it all day. I don't really go to shows or out anymore anyway; I have a two year old! So I'm sure all will be shocked to learn I used a Hard Candy quartet. I used an oldie but goodie, the Techno quad. I used both blacks as well as the silver. I also used a NYX jumbo Black Bean pencil, and started by rubbing that all over my lower lid on top of my UDPP. I then used the smoky grey/black and applied that all over my lid about halfway up to the browbone. Next, I blended the crap out of it, using a color that matches my skin tone on my brow bone, blending into the smoky grey/black. I then used the pitch black color with silver sparkles on my lid and blended. I smudged both colors on my lower lash line, using the silver on my tear duct and inner corner. I used a black eyeliner on top and bottom lash lines and on top and bottom water lines. Finished with black mascara. I loved how this turned out, the pitch black has silver sparkles, which really set off the look, and in my opinion give it a pretty, rather then industrial look. The trick to wearing any makeup is to blend, but especially with dark colors!

Fire Power

This is another attempt at using my Kryolan palette. I used the neon yellow, and then for the orange, I used my TC2 pigment. This was a fun look, it seemed to glow indoors, like little suns on my eyelids.

Disturbed:Down With the Sickness Inspired Look

This look was inspired my another one of my fav bands, which I was lucky enough to see live maybe 7 or 8 times in Phoenix. Oh waah ahh ahh ahh! I used Calypso Minerals and the white green from my Mental Hard Candy quad.

Purple Punch

Okay, so for this look I used the Hard Candy quad Frigid. For the inner corner I used the white purple in my Hard Candy Techno quad.

Mean Neon Green

I looove this look. I'm sure you've figured out by now that I love all shades of green, but this takes the cake! I used Kryolan neon green as a base for this, and Calypso Minerals on top of that.

Lemon Lime

The title pretty much speaks for this look. I used the two shades of green in my Calypso Minerals rainbow stack. I love green eyeshadow, it really makes my blue eyes pop.

Brown Betty

My sis got me an awesome pigment stack for my birthday this year. It's from BellaPierre cosmetics, and it's the Pandera stack. I used several of the earth shades for this look.

Prime Evening

So this is a prime, albeit dramatic prime look. I used various shades of brown and beige for this look, with black eyeliner and falsies.

Static X:Wisconsin Death Trip Inspired Look

This look was inspired by the album cover for Static X's debut album; Wisconsin Death Trip. This was one of my fav bands in the 90's, and I saw them live over a dozen times. Phoenix has a great music scene. I used the MAC trio Danger Zone from the Red She Said collection for the black and silver, as well as laying down a base shade of red. For that amazing bright matte red, however, I used Calypso Minerals Velvet, again from the rainbow stack. I thought this was a really cool and industrial look, kind of hardcore, and fitting nicely not only with the album cover, but the music on the album as well. It's one of my favs, they're best album in my opinion. I will be doing more looks inspired by my fav bands.

Orange Crush

Orange is a great color for blue eyes, it really makes them pop! I used an awesome orange pigment from a company called TC2 for my lid. I have no idea if they're in business still, I got a few pigments in a bargain bin at the mall a few years back, and it's one of those. The lighter orange is the bright orange in the rainbow stack from Calypso Minerals. I will do a post on that stack at some point.

Blue Suede Lids

This is the same blue color from my Hard Candy Suede palette that I used for my baked look. It's such a vibrant beautiful color, I just had to try it all over my lid. For above the crease and inner corner color I used the white blue duochrome in Hard Candy's Dillusional quad.

Barbie Loves MAC, But She Can't Always Afford It

Okay, I love the Barbie Loves MAC collection, but not only is MAC expensive, it's hard for me to put my hot little hands on it, as I live very rural. I do have some MAC, stuff I see online and MUST have, and I use MAC brushes, but as far as keeping my makeup bag stocked with every collection MAC puts out-no way. So I use other products, and I manage to achieve the exact same look, at a fraction of the cost. Imagine that. All the eyeshadows I used are from the Coastal Scents 88 matte palette.

Konad Stars

Sooo, I totally jumped on the Konad bandwagon, and I love it! This is one of my earliest Konadicures, I did clear base with red stars. Red and stars being some of my fav things!

Everyday Green

Here is a bright green look that I wear to work. The colors don't go up too high above my crease, therefore making it a "day" look. At least in my very colorful book! I used Urban Decay Primer Potion as a base. Now, I happen to use MAC brushes most of the time, and they're great, but anything you can work out, go with it. My brushes are fairly recent purchases, and for years I used cheapos and whatever came with my pallettes, and my makeup still looked great. I then used the white green in the Hard Candy Mental quad in the inner corners of my eyes, and brought it up onto my lids a little less then a quarter of the way. Then I applied Urban Decay's Vert all over my lid a little past my crease. Next, I applied the dark green in the Hard Candy Mental quad in the outer corners, blending and bringing about a quarter of the way in. I then used the white green at the top of the color above my crease. Next, I took a skin tone beige and applied to my brow bone. I used Vert to smudge all along my lower lash line, and blended it into the white green. The key to wearing bright bold looks to work is keeping the color low and blended! If I were going out with this look, I would have taken the Vert up higher, brought the dark green up and over, and applied with a heavier hand. I may even have used the white green on the lid instead of Vert to go for a dramatic contrast. Anyhow, I used a medium shade brown pencil for eyeliner on the top lash line and my water line. I followed up with two coats of black mascara.

Get Baked

This is my version of Urban Decay's Get Baked look. I used mostly Hard Candy products. I used Hard Candy's Suede quad, and Urban Decay's Electric pencil. I'm pretty sure Hard Candy was bought out by Urban Decay though, as Hard Candy's site has been 50% off for months, and there is less and less product to choose from. Also, when I ordered from them, the box said Urban Decay. Pretty good indicator, eh?
